"BECAUSE EVERY INGREDIENT HAS A PURPOSE" OBJECTIVE To create a service based off of Wellness 2.0 and implement the use of artificial intelligence. ABOUT Nomsense is a food management iOS app designed for individuals looking for ways to reduce food waste and start their journey into living a more sustainable lifestyle. [Imagery for this project was created using generative AI with additional designer’s processing.] CHALLENGE With the increase of consumerism, people often forget about how it can affect the environment. Even though people are aware of sustainability, many still lack the tools, knowledge, or motivation to manage consumption and food waste. The mix of personal habits, cultural norms, and convenience-driven choices leads to a significant amount of waste, resources, an increase in carbon footprints. This creates a gap between what people know and what they actually do when it comes to mindful consumption and sustainable food management. GOAL To develop an app where individuals manage their food by providing a smart, user-friendly platform for cataloging pantry and kitchen items, tracking expiration dates, and offering tailored recipe suggestions.
